OFA Level 3 Full Time Day Class

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (two weeks + examination day).

OFA Level 3 Evenings & Saturdays

Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 6:30PM - 10:00PM, Saturdays 8:00AM - 4:00PM (3 weeks)

Examination of Level 2 & 3 students is conducted shortly after the last day of class and is scheduled after each class has commenced. A Statement of Fitness, as well as acceptable personal identification is required prior to Occupational First Aid Attendant certification.

Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks. No experience is necessary.

    *If you are taking the LEVEL 3 Recertification course, then you will need to have a Level 3 ticket that hasn't expired in over 2 years. This ticket must be presented to staff in order to take the recertification course.

Course Information

  • 70 hours of training or 35 hours for the recertification.

    This course is recognized by The Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia and is designed to provide life-saving First Aid Skills to workers in industry.

    Certification is valid for three years.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you need Level 1 to get your OFA Level 2 & 3?
    No, you can take your OFA level 3 even if you have no experience in this area.

    Do I still need to get a medical record?
    No, it is no longer required. However, candidates must now complete an Occupational Statement of Fitness. Should you have a medical condition listed on the form, you will then be required to see a physician prior to course examination. For more information, visit Work Safe BC.

    What if I fail my course?
    Valley First Aid is committed to helping our students succeed. Depending on why you failed, our instructors can help to arrange another date for you to attend the same course FREE of charge.

    My OFA Level 3 ticket expired 6 months ago - can I take the refresher course?
    Yes, as long as less than 2 years have passed since your ticket expired, you can take the Re-fresher course which is 1 week long.
